Dominique Carella

DOMINIQUE CARELLA (she/her) is a visual artist, entrepreneur, and performer from San Francisco, California. Carella currently produces text-based works and hosts “Oh-Babe” art shows and clothing pop-up shops across the United States.

Carella started her creative career as a professional hip-hop dancer, with 20+ years of prior dance and performance experience. Carella's dance background, combined with her trendy streetwear clothing designs, and her budding contemporary art practice, offers an eclectic creative experience for viewers and consumers.

Carella’s text based works explore a variety of issues that plague our daily interactions, including but not limited to intersectional feminism, gender roles and binaries, and violence against women. Not Here To Look Good For You® is Dominique's registered United States trademark, and is a true embodiment of her core values as an artist.

In 2018, Carella released her "Shop Dom" merchandise line, which displays her feminista text-based works as wearable pieces of art. In 2021, Carella began creating art and clothing as the
persona “Oh-Babe”, now available for enjoyment and purchase at in-person exhibitions and online at oh-babe.com.
